Mothers Day Delicious Tea and Beautiful Flowers
Petal Perfections is collaborating with award winning chef Steve James Ltd who is conjuring up his magic to produce beautiful cream teas and whimsical Alice in Wonderland style afternoon teas with the option to add a beautiful bouquet from Petal Perfections. The tea prices start at £5 per person for the cream tea and £15 per person for the afternoon tea. The flowers are from £30. All collectable from Eastfield Farm on Saturday 13th. Those of you who have experienced Steve's cakes and bakes will know that everything he creates carries his own spin on taste and presentation, so be prepared for something totally delicious and gorgeous. Your flowers will be equally gorgeous, seasonal soft pretty florals with beautiful scent, the perfect arrangement to accompany your tea and enhance any table setting. All arranged and set in water to keep them fresh ready for your collection.
After all we've been through in the past twelve months its so important to support your local businesses and both Steve and myself will be so very grateful for your support this Mother's Day. Last Mother's Day was an eerie one, delivering bouquets, getting used to keeping our distance, using hand sanitisers constantly, not fully understanding the effect that Coronavirus was about to have on our lives and businesses. Literally the day after those deliveries we were in Lockdown and flowers were non-existent for the first 8 weeks as growers and distributers closed down and mountains of beautiful flowers were composted, I remember with huge sadness those extraordinary images and how much flowers were missed by so many.
Growers and distributors are back, albeit not to pre-lockdown levels and my wholesaler has worked so hard throughout lockdowns, Brexit consequences, blockades at the Tunnel, boarder closures - to say their working patterns have been difficult would be an understatement - but they're still here, still working hard and navigating all the obstacles to bring us beautiful blooms for all our special occasions so we can make creations to present to our Mum's, Step Mum's, Grandma's and all those wonderful people in our lives who may not be our Mums but give their time, love and support without expectation - let's say a huge thank you with love, flowers and a beautiful tea to as many as possible!
